General comments
Definitie ongecompliceerde cystitis: cystitis bij een vrouw, niet zwanger, niet immuungecompromitteerd, zonder functionele of anatomische afwijkingen van de urinewegenen zonder tekenen van weefselinvasie of systemische infectie.
Voor start behandeling altijd een urinesediment en kweek insturen. Deze onderzoeken herhalen bij onvoldoende klinisch herstel na 3-5 dagen.
Bij zwangerschap urine controleren na voltooien behandeling.
Bij gecompliceerde cystitis (alle gevallen exclusief ongecompliceerd), bij mannen en bij catheter a dem. behandelen volgens advies pyelonefritis.
Bacteriurie niet behandelen, ook niet bij (verwijderen) catheter a dem.
Fosfomycine 2 uur na de maaltijd innemen, bij voorkeur voor de nacht.
